What is the year-end achievement score (YBP)?
YBP is a weighted annual score used in Turkish secondary education. A course with more weekly lesson hours has more influence than a course taught for fewer hours.
This tool provides an informational estimate. Official results depend on the school's records, timetable and the applicable Ministry of National Education rules.
How is high-school YBP calculated?
Each course's year-end score is multiplied by its weekly lesson hours. The weighted points are added and divided by total weekly lesson hours. The result is displayed to four decimal places.
- Course scores may be decimal values from 0 to 100.
- Weekly lesson hours must be positive whole numbers.
- At least one complete course row is required.
- A partially completed row must be finished before calculation.

Worked example
Suppose Mathematics has a score of 80 and 6 weekly hours, Turkish Language and Literature has 90 and 5 hours, and History has 70 and 2 hours.
The weighted points are 480, 450 and 140. Total weighted points are 1,070 and total hours are 13, so YBP is 1,070 ÷ 13 = 82.3077.
Why weekly lesson hours matter
YBP is not a simple average of course scores. A six-hour course has three times the weight of a two-hour course, so averaging course scores without hours can produce a different result.
YBP, promotion and graduation score
YBP is the weighted score for one school year. Promotion to the next grade may also depend on failed courses, attendance and other current rules. A graduation score combines a broader set of records and is not the same value.
Official basis
The calculation follows the Ministry of National Education regulation defining weighted course points and YBP as total weighted points divided by total weekly lesson hours, carried to four decimal places.

Limits and warnings
