The Hesapstan date calculator is designed to add or subtract years, months, weeks or days to/from a base date you choose. It answers questions like "what date is 30 days from now?" or "what date was 3 months ago?" while accounting for calendar month lengths and leap years.

What does the date calculator do?

This tool takes a base date, a direction (add or subtract) and year/month/week/day values, then calculates the resulting date.

When adding or subtracting years and months, calendar month lengths are respected; for example, adding 1 month to January 31 lands on February 28 or 29 (depending on leap year), because February does not have a 31st day.

How is it used?

Select the base date, choose "Add" or "Subtract", then enter the number of years, months, weeks and days. You can leave unused units empty or at 0.

For example, to add 45 days to today's date, you only need to fill in the "Days" field with 45; the other fields are treated as 0.

How is day overflow handled when adding months or years?

Automatic clamping at month-end dates

When adding or subtracting months or years, if the resulting month does not have that day (for example, adding 1 month to March 31 lands in April which has no 31st day), the tool clamps the day to the last day of that month. This is a commonly accepted approach in calendar calculations.

What does this tool not calculate?

  • It does not calculate at the hour, minute or second level; it works at the calendar-day level only.
  • It does not exclude weekends or public holidays; for business-day needs, use the business-days calculator instead.
  • It does not calculate using the Hijri or any other calendar system; it works in the Gregorian calendar only.
